Cultural Council <br />Minutes <br />September 16, 2010 <br />Recreation Center <br />900 West Appia <br />7:00 PM <br />1.Meeting called to order at 7:09 PM by Julie Kovash. <br />2.Present: Julie Kovash, Maryan Jaross, Andy Langford, Susan McNamara, Frost <br />Absent: <br />Yarnell, Kathy Martin, Justine Vigil-Tapia, Don Atwood, Julie Seydel. <br />Kit Simon, Rebecca Lasica, Lynn Wooten. <br />3.Approved agenda with amendment that “Review of the Non-Discriminatory <br />Policy’ be moved to the end. Motion by Maryan Jaross with second by Andy <br />Langford. <br />4.Minutes approved on motion by Jaross seconded by Langford. <br />5.No public comments. <br />6.President’s report by Julie Kovash <br />-Fall calendar in place except for Painting Louisville. <br />-Open rate on Fall Events email was 40% <br />-Vote continuing on sculptures <br />-Discussed history of citizen donation for Arts center cupola. <br />7.Treasurer’s report <br />-No report <br />-Request from President to separate out earmarked funds in next quarterly <br />report. <br />8.City staff report: <br />-City endorsing Face Book pages for City Boards <br />-Arts Center exterior and interior to be pained, but notLCC office <br />-Requested that no one repair their “own hanging holes” <br />-Advised that Board members who are due to do so must take City Open <br />Government Training. Dates have been sent out. <br />-Parks and Recreation have received a grant to do new master plan and <br />invitations to focus groups have been sent out. <br />-Please give Julie Seydel –through Julie Kovash –date requests for Arts <br />center ASAP <br /> <br />
