Closing Comments: None. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Closed / Board Discussion: <br />Stuart thanked the applicant for the completeness of their application presentation. He stated that <br />he supports the approval the variance based on the criterion having been met. <br /> <br />Kelly also stated that he supports the variance based on the staff recommendation and the <br />applicant's completeness. <br /> <br />Loeblich stated that he supports the recommendation of staff. He thanked the applicant to the <br />details of the criteria and especially the lot analysis. He also supports that all criteria have been <br />met. <br /> <br />Weise supports the request for the variance based on the criteria having been met. He suggested <br />that the applicant attempt to design the home to fit the Old Town Overlay and feel of the <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />Motion and Vote: <br />Loeblich moved and Stuart seconded a motion to approve a variance request to reduce minimum <br />lot area and minimum lot width requirements for a proposed two-lot subdivision at 1100 Grant <br />Ave., in the Old Town Overlay and Residential Low Density (RL) zoning district. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> <br />Bill Cordell EX <br />Gerry Kelly Yes <br />Horst Loeblich Yes <br />James Stuart Yes <br />John Weise Yes <br />Gunnar Malmquist EX <br />Motion passed: 4 to 0 <br />(two members excused) <br /> <br />Items tentatively scheduled for March 15, 2006 <br />Johnstone reminded the members that the deadline date for applications to be heard at the March <br />15, 1006 is February 27,2006. <br /> <br />Staff Comments - <br />~ Open Records / Open Meetings Training for Board and Commission <br />Johnstone reviewed the memo regarding the Open Record / Open Meetings Training to be held <br />on Monday, March 6 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM in Council Chamber and on Friday March 10 from <br />8:30 - 10:30 AM in the Police / Courts Building. He encouraged all members to attend one of <br />the trainings. <br /> <br />Board Comments - <br />Loeblich requested a clarification from staff as to the reasoning behind the shift in staff being <br />able to support Criteria #3 (Property cannot reasonably be developed.). <br />
