Visit from the Louisville Police Department to discuss graffiti and safety
Officer M. Haley: (here to talk about graffiti)
In case of a graffiti incident we would look around for information and we
normally find out who it is, I can’t remember a case where we haven’t.
When we find out who it is we go though the whole court system and
usually charge them.
The graffiti everywhere know as “look” that is on stop signs and electrical boxes
and other items is probably just a tagger crew which is a group of high
school students but is NOT gang related.
Concerning drugs in schools-Your School Resource Officer (SRO) would be a
better resource to talk to about this issue. Officer Haley does not work
closely with the schools.
Bullying on Main St. –This would be a good situation to bring up to school
officials. But if you see something that might escalate to a fight or be
dangerous, definitely contact the police dept. Also, feel free to contact
your SRO.
Tobacco in schools/on school property-School shave rules that must be followed
(i.e. no tobacco products).
City of Louisville
749 Main St.
Louisville CO 80027
303.335.4902 (phone) 303.335.4959 (fax) www.ci.louisville.co.us
