10. Feedback: JR would like to have a center for the arts that can be <br />more modern. A Performing arts center. Stage in the community <br />park. Reina spoke about different art installations through the city. <br />Bringing different types of different businesses to the city. JR mentioned that we may need to change the name of the Arts and <br />Culture Board name. Beth mentioned Cultural Advisory Board (CAB) can <br />be a good choice to rename the board. <br />1. All in motion to approve the new name. Needs to have a resolution <br />approved by the city council. <br />VI. Meeting Dates and Location <br />A. 3rd Wednesday of every month <br />1. All in motion to approve the dates. <br />VII. Public Comments <br />A. No public comments <br />VIII. Staff Report <br />A. Sharon went over the 2024 Budget <br />1. Three budgets <br />a) Went over Revenue Budget <br />(1) Arts Programming Grants - $10,000 <br />(2) Arts opportunity Programming $25,000 <br />(3) Summer concerts series $15,000 <br />b) We didn't spend it all last year. <br />IX. Chair Report (JR) <br />A. JR read the chair report and the vision. Excited about the opportunity. Will <br />be forming subcommittee and scheduling arts and cultural events, EDI <br />componenets. We have the opportunity in front of us and we should make <br />it the best we can. Future looks bright and thanked everyone. <br />X. Discussion Item — 2024 Art Grants (JR) <br />A. Application Packets - 15 proposals were submitted. JR asked the board to <br />rank the applicants based on the scoring system. JR sent each one of us <br />a scoring sheet in our inbox. Each board member will submit the results <br />and will decide who the winners are. Five grants for a maximum of $2000. <br />Some applicants submitted less than that amount.
