Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />2/26/2024 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Staff Updates <br />Fitness Updates — Lindsey Witty <br />• Lindsey reported that there is high demand for classes and personal training. <br />Surveys showed positive responses to classes and instructors, with patrons <br />expressing the desire for more classes. However, studio space is maxed out <br />at the most desirable times. <br />• There are still patrons logging in through Zoom. There are pros and cons to <br />offering Zoom classes. Staff members are in the process of deciding how to <br />manage the new phone system and Zoom classes. <br />• Lindsey presented spring and summer programs, challenges, and contracted <br />classes. <br />• Lindsey started to oversee Childwatch in October. There were 671 kids in <br />attendance in January, which is 100 higher than the number in 2023. A limited <br />survey response showed that patrons would like more evening hours and <br />Sunday hours. <br />• Lindsey is working on requests for new and replacement equipment. There is <br />a new machine for body composition analysis. <br />• RAB members expressed appreciation for Lindsey and the programs and <br />classes offered at the Rec Center. <br />Golf Updates — David Baril <br />• David reported that he has an upgraded range servant, has received new <br />range accessories, and has received the first shipment of range balls. <br />• The Golf Course will host a Colorado Amateur Championship Qualifier this <br />year. <br />• David has been setting dates for the many leagues that play at CCGC. <br />• In January the Golf Course exceeded expected revenue by $20,000. <br />Recreation Updates -- Kathy Martin <br />• The pool Glow Party was sold out and fun. <br />\A/infor cnnr+c /h!nclre+hill nnrl inrinnr cnrr-erl nre \Aironninn i in There XAine <br />v v'. i . w II — I n 1u 1 .wv I ui v vvi uNtI ly "V. I I Zvi v v— <br />greater participation than before, so the teams had decreased gym practice <br />times. <br />• In -person attendance at the senior meal site has been increasing. Katie Tofte <br />requested and received additional funds from Boulder County, which should <br />last through the end of June. <br />• The ice rink is closing for the season. Staff will be discussing the contract for <br />next season. <br />• The 4-year-old preschool classes will be full for next fall. <br />CIP Updates <br />• Kathy presented a preliminary Draft of CIPs for the next six year.
