Golden Pioneer Museum publication <br />. Summit of Mining Communities in Leadville <br /> <br />VIII. Executive Director's Report <br />A. 2006 Budget Update <br />1. Bridget Bacon's hours at the Museum will stay at 20 hours per week for the <br />remainder of 2006 <br />2. Due to budget constraints, the City is unable to pay for additional archival or <br />office supplies for the Museum this year. Meredyth Muth asked if the <br />Commission would be willing to contribute $350. Members voted to give the <br />$350. <br />B. 2007 Budget may include more cuts and lay-offs. A final budget will be <br />approved by the City Council in November. <br />C. Harney-Lastoka Joint Meeting will be Thursday, October 26,2006 at 6:30 PM. <br />Don Ross, Dan Mellish and Diane Marino will represent the Commission <br />D. Open Government Training is being offered again this fall. Each Commission <br />member must attend once every two years. The meetings will be November 2, <br />8:30 -10:30 AM, Library Meeting Room and November 6,7:00 - 9:00 PM, <br />Library Meeting Room <br />E. Louisville Fire Department has made a request for historical photos. The <br />Commission approved charging only for the cost of reprints, without any <br />additional fee. <br /> <br />IX. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Deeds of Gifts <br />1. Medical items, household items, and photograph donated by Beverly Smith <br />2. Four issues of the Louisville Times from the 1950s donated by Shirley <br />Helart <br />3. Research files used in writing her books, donated by Carolyn Conarroe <br />4. Photographs of Louisville High School students donated by Joyce Zarini <br />Hyslop <br />5. Photos of Monarch Mine Bell donated by George Autrey <br />All deeds of gifts were accepted. <br />B. Monarch Mine Exhibit Opening <br />1. The exhibit opening on September 2 was a success, with about 60 people <br />in attendance <br />
