The residence was designed and constructed with her illness in <br />mind (33" doors, level door handles, handicap toilets, and assist <br />bars). While is my earnest hope that her condition will never <br />require a wheel chair, if it should come to pass, we would be <br />required to relocate if we could not reconfigure the garage for <br />handicap wheel chair access. <br />While the guidelines for applying for a variance indicated that <br />the health of the applicant was not a consideration, the health <br />of my wife was one of my primary consideration for the <br />construction of this residence and not being able to obtain a <br />variance will work a considerable hardship on myself and an even <br />greater hardship upon my wife. <br />Option 3 would put undue strain on the structure and perhaps <br />require an essential rebuilding and is probably not practical. <br />For the reasons cited above, I am asking that the requested <br />variance by • anted. <br />R Gr`ff <br />
