Local Licensing Authority Minutes September 27, 2010 Page 3 of 3 Gunning moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve issuance of a Hotel and Restaurant liquor license for Bean and Berry, LLC d /b /a Bean and Berry. Machado seconded. Roll Cali Vote: Lipton yes, Rommelfanger yes, Gunning yes, and Machado yes. Police Department Reports Sergeant Lanphere reported on the Special Events permit for Volunteer Connection (Yellow Scene anniversary celebration). He stated there were some issues with the event the Authority should be aware of if another similar permit is requested. He was asked if any issues were so significant they needed to be addressed by the Authority. He said no, but he felt the downtown establishments and the organizer had some miscommunication about the way the event should work. Secretary's Report Secretary Hanson reported on attendees for the seller /server training on August 29, 2010. Forty -four people from Louisville establishments attended. Hanson thanked the Police Department for once again providing the training. Hanson stated the Downtown Business Association has approached her with the idea of the street -side patios remaining either longer or permanently. She reported they have decided to go ahead and take them down this year, but wanted to let the Authority know they may be asked to consider an extension next year.
