City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 5, 2023 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />Director Bailey stated the budget presented tonight is in compliance with all of the City's <br />fiscal policies and prioritizes sustainability and resiliency. The mill levy will be certified <br />later this year once exact valuations are sent from the County Assessor. <br />Councilmember Kern asked for confirmation that the budget can be amended if need <br />be. City Manager Jeff Durbin stated it can be amended and usually is during the year. <br />Public Comments — None. <br />Mayor Maloney stated this budget meets all the City's fiscal policies and represents the <br />values and goals of the City. He noted the revenues are strong and the City is in good <br />fiscal shape. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tern Fahey moved to approve Resolution No. 70, seconded by <br />Councilmember Dickinson. <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Dickinson moved to approve Resolution No. 71, seconded by <br />Mayor Pro Tem Fahey. <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1866, SERIES 2023 — AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY <br />REFERENCE THE 2023 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE — 1st READING — SET <br />PUBLIC HEARING 11/28/23 <br />Mayor Maloney introduced the ordinance by title. <br />MOTION: Mayor Maloney moved to approve the ordinance on first reading and set the <br />public hearing for November 28, 2023; seconded by Councilmember Leh. <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. <br />[a]11WE-Ait07:1kiIWA" N=1061AI <br />None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS, COMMITTEE REPORTS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF <br />FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS <br />Councilmember Hamlington expressed her gratitude to Mayor Maloney for his work and <br />his leadership. <br />
