Susan Hudson, 210 Jade Street, Broomfield, Colorado, stated that she is speaking on
behalf of her father, Walter Wood, who lives at 10822 Dillon Road. She feels it is very
unnecessary to take the Northwest Parkway down Dillon Road, uprooting the families
and businesses that have been established there. She questioned why private property was
being taken when Boulder County has 54,000 acres of open space to use, and Rock Creek
has 1,200 acres of open space. She requested that Council be sensible and think about
why they are taking private property to spare pumpkins and wildlife.

Bob Muckle, 1101 Lincoln Avenue, Louisville, Colorado, stated that he is speaking on
behalf of open space and wildlife. He is sympathetic to all the individual concerns
involved in the Intergovernmental Agreement; however, he feels the major sore thumb on
this map is where Broomfield elected to put their mall. This places all the traffic impact
on Louisville and other surrounding communities and not on Broomfield. He stated that
the one item that makes the road tolerable is that large pieces of land will remain rural.
He understands that the Intergovernmental Agreement has the potential to limit overall
traffic impacts in the area. He suggested that the Intergovernmental Agreement for the
Boulder County segment include some language about the amount of development and
access to the road in Broomfield that lies to the north and east of Louisville. He expressed
concern that discussions for designing the road include limiting the visual impact of the
road itself.

Michele Crawford, 2543 Otter Court, Lafayette, Colorado, stated that she represents the
South Pointe Subdivision Homeowner's Association. They have submitted a letter of
opposition to the Boulder County Commissioners and the City of Lafayette regarding the
Northwest Parkway. The residents of South Pointe submitted a petition to the City of
Louisville requesting that the Northwest Parkway be realigned to follow Dillon Road, as
at that time it was slated to go through the Maple Grove subdivision. Recently, they have
met many of the residents and business owners along Dillon Road and realized the
number of houses and businesses that are going to be destroyed because of this parkway.
She explained that they submitted a request to the Boulder County Commissioners to
move the parkway further south to spare these homes and businesses. She appealed to the
City of Louisville to preserve Dillon Road, which would spare the homes and businesses
along the road and provide the City of Lafayette with the appropriate gateway it deserves
rather than an underpass. She expressed disappointment that Boulder County
Commissioner Jana Mendez recommended relocating the houses along Dillon Road in
addition to digging up one-hundred-year old trees. She thanked the City of Louisville for
listening to their concerns.

Laura Page, 920 Rex Street, Louisville, Colorado, stated that she is an open space
advocate; however, she expressed support for moving the parkway south into open space
to preserve the homes along Dillon Road. She also supports the City of Louisville' s
attempts to create buffers along the road. She voiced her disappointment that the
connector road between Highway 42 and 96th Street has been upgraded from a two-lane
to a four-lane road. She requested that the original two-lane plan for the road be kept. She
feels that upgrading the road will have a significant negative impact on the open space
