<br />MUSIC FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

<br />Now e'r Then, a local performing group, will help get you
<br />in the holiday spirit and ready for the Parade of Lights. A
<br />mixture of the sacred and the secular, their music will please
<br />young and old alike.

<br />Louisville's own Singin' Seniors will present their annual
<br />concert of holiday melodies.

<br />The Polar Express Story Time
<br />Join us for this annual Library tradition.
<br />There will be crafts and hot chocolate after
<br />the Story Time. All ages welcome.
<br />SPECIAL USED BOOK SALE
<br />FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3 — 5
<br />0 n this weekend, the Library's "never- ending" used
<br />book sale will feature art, collectible, coffee table,
<br />and foreign language books. These items will sell for $5 each,
<br />with sets slightly higher. Great ideas for holiday giving, so
<br />come early for the best selection! All proceeds from book sales
<br />go to the Louisville Public Library Foundation, which funds
<br />many Library programs.
<br />WE APPRECIATE YOUR DONATED MATERIALS ,,,
<br />...unfortunately, because there is little or no demand for
<br />some items, and the costs to handle and dispose of them are
<br />high, we are unable to accept the following: VHS and audio
<br />tapes, magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, and computer
<br />manuals /books. If you have books, DVDs or CDs to donate,
<br />please bring them to the front desk and a staff member will
<br />provide you with a receipt for your charitable donation.
<br />EXTRA CRAFT SUPPLIES?
<br />T he Loft is looking for craft supplies to help with the
<br />teen craft programs for 2011; beads, colored pencils,
<br />felt, ribbons — it can all be used to make something new and
<br />unique. If you have items to donate, contact Kriska at the
<br />Loft for more information (303.335.4845).

<br />We'll feature DDR, Guitar Hero, Singstar, and a variety of
<br />Wii games. Refreshments will be served. For teens in grades

<br />Mix and Mash @ your library is this year's theme. Check the
<br />Teen web site or Louisville Loft Facebook page for upcoming
<br />details about special tech - related activities, incuding a craft
<br />program and an Internet Scavenger Hunt.

<br />Noon - 1:30 PM. Certified Business Coach, Phil Barton, will
<br />present tips and guidelines on how to accomplish a great job
<br />interview. No sign -up required; just stop by.

<br />LOUISVILLE HISTORY + "BROWN BAG" TALKS
<br />Are you interested in Louisville history? Be on the lookout
<br />in 2011 for a new, bimonthly series of brown bag luncheons
<br />with Historical Museum Coordinator Bridget Bacon, offering
<br />an informal chance to discuss Louisville's past.

<br />..features a catalog search box right on the home page.
<br />This will get you to the information you want more quickly
<br />and easily. We've also added a link for the Historical Museum
<br />pages in the Quick Links menu. And if you've ever wondered
<br />how your tax dollars translate into library services for you and
<br />your family, there is now a way to do that. Under the News
<br />& Info section of the home page, just click on the calcula-
<br />tor graphic and you'll have access to an Individual Return on
<br />Investment Calculator!
