Youth Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 6, 2011 <br />Recreation Center <br />900 West Via Appia <br />7 <br />PM <br />I. Call to Order <br />–7:01pm <br />II. Roll Call <br />was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present:Brody Coronelli, Daisy Fuchs, Christina <br />Hamerly, Brooke Hubbard, Lucas Laird, Antonia Lin, Eliza Miller, Bonnie <br />Schrag,Hannah Tienken, Megan Valentine, Kendall Webster, Sam <br />Webster, Joi Wu <br />Board Members Absent:Brooke Cox <br />Staff Members Present:Kriska Daltonhurst, Mandy Perera, Frost Yarnell <br />III.Approval of Agenda <br />-Yes <br />IV. Approval ofMeeting Minutes <br />–Yes <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />- <br />Lucas went to the public Planning meeting about the Downtown projects <br />discussed in our last meeting. It was the same as what we saw during our <br />meeting, but with 10 more projects to discuss. The public got to vote on what <br />ideas they liked the best. <br />VI.Visit from Lynn Wooten to discuss Daffodil Days project <br />Discussed last year’s event. This benefits the American Cancer <br />Society. The teddy bear isnamed “Live in Hope” this year. <br />Flowers are grown in Washington state and come unbloomed. <br />$10/bunch, $15/bunch + vase, and $25/bunch + bear. There is a <br />Daffodil Days website now-Mandy will send us an email about it. <br />th <br />January 17-no school day. Like last year, we will have a bake <br />sale and sell daffodils at the Rec. Center (11am-1pm). Bring a <br />dozen cookies. <br />VII.Visit from Jeff Miller from the Leading Now group <br />He was here to observe-starting a project to look at youth <br />participation in the decision making process.
