January 7, 2011
Mr. Sean McCartney
Historic Preservation Fund
City of Louisville
749 Main Street
Louisville, CO 80027
Dear Sean Historic Preservation Fund Members.
It has been a pleasure to work with all you on the recent grant for my home. This
year marks my 30th anniversary of moving to Louisville. I am so proud to live here
and be a part of a community that is so supportive. Thank you for all your help and
support. I am very proud to share with others my home's historical status.
Please find attached my application for grant funds. As discussed previously at
HPC's meetings, my patio's drainage problems are causing damage to the
foundation and are best rectified with installing a sump pump and routing the
drainage to the front of the house,
My roof has more problems than I ever knew. The accumulation of the layers of
roofing are putting a significant amount weight and pressure on the handmade
trusses that hold up the roof. The cracks on the ceiling inside the house running the
length of both the north and south, are a direct result of the stress the trusses are
under from all the weight from the roof.
The city inspector has been to the house to look at both the roof and the patio. Bert
Brucker, my contractor, and Louisville's city inspector have agreed as to the method of
repair for both the roof repair and installation of a patio /sump pump and patio grading.
With HPC approval, I am ready to move forward on both these projects. Bert Brucker is
the contractor I feel is best to do the work.
appreciate your review of my application for funds. look forward to seeing you again.
Thank you,
J anice Hoffm
Jacoe Connaroe Home
