Section2.ConflictofInterest;Codeof Ethics.Themembersandofficersof <br />theCouncilshallcomplywithallapplicablefederalandstatelawsregardingconflictsof <br />interest.Themembers,officersandemployeesoftheCouncilshallalsocomplywith the <br />Codeof EthicssetforthasSections5-6through5-17oftheCityofLouisvilleHome <br />RuleCharter(“Codeof Ethics”).ForpurposesofapplicationofsuchCodeof Ethics <br />only, theCouncilshallbeconsidereda“publicbody”andamemberoftheCouncilshall <br />beconsidereda“publicbodymember.” <br />Section3.AmendmentofBylaws.TheBylawsoftheCouncilmaybeamended <br />onlyuponthevoteofatleastseven(7)membersoftheCouncil. <br />Section4.ConflictofLaw.Whereanyconflictexistsbetweenanyprovisionof <br />these Bylawsand theLouisvilleHomeRuleCharterorCityordinances,suchordinances <br />orstatutesshallcontrolover theprovisionsof these Bylawsand these Bylawsshallbe <br />deemed tohavebeenamendedtoconformtosuchordinancesandstatutes. <br />ARTICLE VI <br />NON-DISCRIMINATION <br />Section1 General– Itis thepolicyof theCouncil thatneithertheinstitutionnorany <br />staffmember,volunteerorcontractorwith theCouncilshalldiscriminateagainstany <br />individualonthebasisofage,race,color,nationalorigin,citizenship,ancestry,religion, <br />creed,gender,genderidentity,sexualorientationorpreference,maritalstatus,military <br />status,or theexistenceofanysensory,mentalorphysicalhandicapin the <br />administrationordeliveryofprogramsandservices. <br />Section2.
