<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 18, 2010 <br />City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 <br />PM <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> – Chairperson Mike Koertje called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />: <br />Commission Members Present: <br /> <br />Mike Koertje, Peter Stewart, Heather Lewis, Laurel Tofte, and Melanie <br />Julian Muckle <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Steve Poppitz and Steven Williams <br />City Representatives: <br />Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br />McCartney requested modification to the agenda. The address for 817 Main Street was <br />incorrectly referenced as 816 Main Street. Lewis moved to approve the modified <br />agenda, Stewart seconded the motion. It was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes September 20, 2010 <br />Muckle stated there was a minor error in the minutes. With no other changes, Stewart <br />moved to approve the minutes, with minor changes, Lewis seconded the motion. It was <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda – <br />Jean Morgan asked the HPC to consider the development of a “Pioneer Park” to allow <br />for historic resources, such as miner shacks, to be preserved and viewed. She <br />mentioned the vacant land on the southwest corner of Hutchinson and Rex as a <br />potential location. <br /> <br />Public Hearing – Landmark – Louisville Cemetery <br />Koertje opened public hearing. <br />McCartney presented the staff report and PowerPoint presentation.
