RESOLUTION NO. 6 <br />SERIES 2024 <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING A <br />PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE WAREMBOURG HOUSE <br />LOCATED AT 917 REX STREET. <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a preservation and restoration grant for the <br />Warembourg House, a historic residential structure located at 917 Rex Street, on property <br />legally described as Lots 18-20, Block 5, Murphy Place, Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, <br />State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found it to <br />be in compliance with Section 3.20.605.D and Section 15.36.120 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC has held a properly noticed public hearing on the preservation <br />and restoration grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation and restoration work being requested includes making <br />repairs to the existing structure; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission finds these proposed <br />improvements will assist in the preservation of the Warembourg House, which is to be <br />landmarked by the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission recommends the City Council <br />approve the proposed Preservation and Restoration Grant application for <br />the Warembourg House, in the amount of $154,220 for work as described <br />in the attached Exhibit A. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15TH day of July, 2024. <br />Lynda Haley, Chairperson <br />1 <br />
