Minutes - Page 3
October 4, 1979

Kedro:

Okay. In any case if that's 7~ feet to the corner the two
feet overhang there out on an angle shouldn't overhang that
utility easement or it will be constructed so that it
doesn't overhang the utility easement.

B. Ross:

Any other further comments by the Board?

Davies:

Mr. Chairman, I've got a comment and it isn't exactly a pat
on the back to the contractors. They should be hung by
their ears for putting a house on a property in that manner
without adding a dimension for the two car garage. That is
the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Kedro:

Well, let me explain that. This house was a display house.
In this section up here in front, which is now an office
that my wife and I have a free-lance business out of, that's
where the garage would have been, and the Realty Company or
the Builder wQo was selling these houses used this as an
office and he didn't? convert it back to a garage.

Velasquez:

So you've already taken the space of the garage.

Kedro:

Right. That1s finished off, it was a show home at one time,
and that would be highly prohibitive to tear all that out,
and make that into a garage. So it was a question of adding
the one side or the other, the least expensive side and the
easiest side to work on.

?

How old is that house?

Kedro:

We were told it was two and a half years old, because people
lived there for two years before we bought it. How long it
was a show home before that I don't know~_

Velasquez:
Kedro:

That house is located west of Centennial Drive?

It would be west, right.

Velasquez:

Yeah, okay.

B. Ross:

Any further comments?

Reed:

Mr. Chairman, I make a motion that we accept this, or grant
this variance.

Davies:

And I second the motion.

B. Ross:

There's been a motion raised that we grant the variance.
Seconded by Bob Davies. Any questions? All those in favor
signify by saying Aye. Robert Ross: Aye. Robert Davies: Aye.
Don Ross: Aye. Gil Reed: Aye. Don Pickett: Aye. Frank
Velasquez: Aye. This Public Hearing is now adjourned.
