Call to Order - Mayor Charles Sisk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />City Council: <br /> <br />Mayor Charles Sisk, Mayor Pro Tem Don Brown, Council members: <br />Sheri Marsella, Ron Sackett, Dave Clabots, Bob Muckle, and Frost <br />Yarnell <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Manager <br />Heather Balser, Asst City Manager for Governmental Relations <br />Belinda Dogan-Pishner, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br />Public Comments <br />None <br /> <br />Economic Development Activities <br />Becky Hogan, EDge Consulting Services, provided an update on economic development activities in <br />Louisville. She reported that there have been four serious inquiries on space available in Louisville <br />and along the US 36 Corridor. The City of Louisville has submitted a proposal to one of the four <br />interested parties. <br /> <br />Business Assistance Program <br />Becky Hogan explained the purpose of the Business Assistance Program (BAP) is to recruit and <br />retain businesses within the City of Louisville and provided a few examples of incentives for the City <br />to consider. She recommended the City establish criteria and limitations for a BAP in Louisville. There <br />was discussion on the pros and cons of providing a Business Assistance Program. <br /> <br />She recommended that City Council members become involved in business retention activities. She <br />suggested each Council member visit one to two businesses per year to see how the business is <br />doing and what the City can do to help retain the business in Louisville. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk recommended also meeting with area developers as well as businesses. <br /> <br />Review/Comparison - Noise Ordinance <br />Bob Muckle explained that he has had constituents contact him regarding the City's current noise <br />ordinance.
