Tom Davinroy distributed a draft letter thanking property owners adjacent <br />to Open Space for removing encroachments. The letter will be sent to the <br />Daily Camera and Louisville Times. The board voted unanimously to <br />approve the letter with minor edits. <br />. Michael Gheleta provided additional (corrected) follow-up information from <br />Eileen Patrick regarding ballot issue 2A. <br /> <br />Staff Updates <br /> <br />. Regarding the upcoming joint OSAB meeting with Lafayette's Open Space <br />Advisory Committee, Jeff Moline provided the Board with a list of agenda <br />items forwarded to him by the Lafayette committee. OSAB members <br />discussed these and other items and arrived at the following list of items to <br />include (including those forwarded from Lafayette (1-6); in no particular <br />order): <br />1) ADA Accessibility platform at Hecla Lake <br />2) ISF rights for Coal Creek <br />3) Mayhoffer and other possible land acquisitions <br />4) Missing Coal Creek trail link <br />5) Trail connections at new Indian Peaks filing #17 development <br />6) Dealing with encroachment issues <br />7) Visions of both Boards for Open Space, including priorities, and <br />overview of Open Space Master Plan. <br />8) Trail connections between cities <br />9) Open Space plans for Indian Peaks filing #17 <br />1 0) Processes for notification of "Border" development and planning <br />issues. Approaches to enhanced coordination between Boards. <br />11) Harney-Lastoka Open Space issues (as follow-up to October 26 <br />meeting) <br /> <br />OSAB will provide pizza and beverages for the meeting. <br /> <br />. Sun Field Trip. Jeff notes several roadblocks that have come to light, in <br />particular the issue of Louisville's Open Government laws prohibiting the <br />holding of public meetings on private property. Even if the field trip is <br />open to the public and originates at the library, holding a gathering on the <br />STK property is a violation. Michael Gheleta to pursue this issue with <br />council and city attorney to discuss alternatives. Site security is also a <br />potential problem. <br />. Harney-Lastoka: Jeff gave OSAB a brief overview of the upcom ing joint <br />meeting (October 26). Louisville resident Jean Morgan spoke to the <br />Board regarding two old miners' cabins just east of the railroad tracks, <br />immediately across from Old Louisville Inn, and asked the Board to <br />consider moving those cabins to the Harney-Lastoka property.
