Open Space Advisory Board
Minutes
DATE
that the cabins are valuable as historic structures and would make a nice
centerpiece for an interpretive display of Louisville's mining history. Board
is generally supportive of the idea, and suggests that the topic be raised
again at the joint meeting on October 26.

2006/2007 Open Space and Trail requests for Boulder County

Jeff Moline provides a review of the prioritized items submitted to Boulder County
for 2006. He notes that these items are prioritized by OSAB/City Staff and are
based on parcels/projects that Boulder County would have a particular interest in
(e.g., joint ownership, joint management, or regional trail connections). After a
brief discussion, OSAB agrees to keep 2007 priorities for four potential county
open space parcels same as last year.

Regarding trails, Jeff notes that the Harney-Lastoka trail requests have been
approved and will be implemented. He also notes that the Davidson ditch trail
connection did not raise much interest with the County. After discussion, the
Board recommends that Jeff re-package the Davidson Ditch proposal to blend
with Callahan, North End, and Indian Peaks filing 17, potentially proposed as a
railway underpass connecting the two areas. Board also suggests that Jeff ask
County to explore potential for a Davidson Mesa / Marshall Road connection over
or under US36 at the crest of the mesa.

Agenda Items for Next Meeting

1) Joint meeting with Lafayette Open Space Advisory Committee (see
detailed agenda items above)

Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.
