Local Licensing Authority Meeting Minutes November 27, 2023 Page 6 of 7 Kaufman moved the entire application be made part of the record of the hearing; Lipton seconded. All in favor. The applicants, Sara Joung and Yunhee Bue, were sworn in by the Secretary and gave testimony on the application for a Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License. There was no one to testify in support or opposition to the application. There was no additional member discussion. Crowe noted that the applicant was of good moral character, there is a desire for the license to be granted and that all City and State law requirements have been met. Based on those findings, Crowe moved that the application for a Lodging & Entertainment Liquor License be approved. The motion was seconded by Machado. Roll call vote was unanimous for approval. 9. Police Department Report The Secretary noted a memo that was provided by Sgt. Kurtz regarding a number of false identifications that were confiscated at one of the marijuana shops in Louisville. There was a brief discussion about the memo among the board members. 10. Secretary's Report A. The Secretary reminded the Authority that the 2023 Open Government Pamphlet was provided in their packet. B. The Secretary updated the Authority on the closing of Main Street for 2024. The idea was presented to Council on January 16. During that meeting a couple of council members mentioned common consumption and entertainment districts. Neither of which is currently allowed by the municipal code. Since there is not enough time to get either option in place prior to this year's proposed street closure that Modification of Premises will be done this year as in year's past. However, she anticipates that there will be a delay in approving the MOPs by the LLA until Council decides what they want to do. Council will hear the item again in March. 11.
