b. Budget Update <br />• Block Party is the most expensive so far. Will be $5K. <br />• If we need supplies for the block party. <br />• Sharon updated us on the budget. Public Arts wil be spending the Polinator Mural <br />and Steinbaugh Mural. Costs has gone up from $11 K to $14K. <br />• Board Events are on track with the budget. <br />c. Update on Art Grants <br />Bingo's Birthday that will be taking place in June. <br />8. Chair Report (JR) <br />• Events are packed in June. John Zamora will be a great asset. JR is excited for <br />th rest of the year. A new board member will be applying. <br />9. Items from April Meeting — Discussion/Action Item <br />a. Justin Deister Sculpture <br />i. Very generous offer from the artist - <br />ii. Without a location we cannot move to Public Notice <br />iii. Does this sculpture meet the City's vision for public art? <br />iv. Vote to table until new public art policy is established and the vision is defined <br />• We don't have a location so we will not be able to put it up for public comments. <br />Don't know where it will go. 4 to 1 vote to decline the offer at this time. <br />10.New Public Art Policy — Action Item <br />a. Review and vote to approve new policy (attached) <br />- Needs to write why a piece of art was accepted or declined. Need to go to <br />council for final approval. <br />- Will be more of a call. Approve it subject <br />- Address more clearly the definition and reflect the values. for a call for proposal <br />for everything. <br />- All in favor to approve the New Public Art Policy. <br />11.Fire Station Block Party — Discussion Item (Sunday, June 9th at 3pm - 7pm). Costs $2000 <br />a. Arrangements - Trash cans, food trucks, toilets, tables, arcade bus. <br />b. Site Map - Iris showed us the map. Road closures. <br />c. Volunteers - <br />d. Marketing, marketing, marketing (300 people are interested) <br />
