Presentation - Horticulture & Forestry Advisory Board (HFAB) <br />Theresa Rounds, HFAB member, reviewed the board accomplishments for 2006 <br />. Community Park: co-hosted grand opening <br />. Completed Arboretum Design <br />. Developed Community Park Plant Maintenance Guide <br />. Applied for Colorado Tree Coalition Grant; will continue seeking grant <br />opportunities <br />. HFAB information added to the City's website <br />. Created Arboretum Mission Statement <br /> <br />She stated that their main goal for 2007 is to establish a 501 (c)-3 foundation for the <br />arboretum. <br /> <br />Scott Robson reported that the Land Management Department is creating a new <br />Trails/Open Space Map in which the arboretum and recreational activities in Louisville <br />will be highlighted. <br /> <br />Theresa Rounds explained that HFAB believes the future community garden plots on the <br />Harney/Laskota property will be extremely popular and they are considering other <br />potential locations to expand the program.
