Public Comments <br />Jean- Entrance to our town on Pine and 42. Donated the coal car, restored and <br />repaired. Will have to go through the Public Arts process. <br />6. Chair Report — 10 minutes <br />• Most of the events have been completed in the summer. This is the time we need to plan <br />for next year 2025. Art Grant process and not is the opportunity to improve it. We have <br />the opportunity to streamline the process (e.g scoring Art Grants, 7 points or 5 points). <br />Finding bands for 2025, sound, Iris and John will take care of the food trucks. Need to <br />keep the budgets in line. Final events of 2024 should be booked. <br />Board plays a huge role to play: <br />a. Art Grant - We control the Art Process! <br />b. Summer Concerts in the Park- Need to help Iris find the bands. <br />c. Cultural Events- Opera, Silent Movie, Kelly Hunt, Movie on Main, etc. <br />d. Few discussions in our past to help local businesses, rent empty properties, <br />economic vitality. JR thanks all the board members and staff members. <br />7. Budget Update — 10 minutes (Sharon) <br />• Sharon went over the budgets for this year and next year 2025. <br />• This year we had $41000 for a budget- Pet memorial, pollinator mural. Will have $25000 <br />next year. Summer concerts are lower so we may need to do 4 concerts instead of 5. <br />• Revenues for next year are much below what we anticipated. Festival of Lights we pay <br />for every year.Special events cost $25000. Next year we have $15000. Sharon <br />
