In addition I have under contract 720 Front <br />Street (lot 4, block B, 0ld Town Louisville) which will close con- <br />tingent upon city approval of our plans. <br />The potential for commercial viability of the downtown section of <br />Front Street has long been recognized. Now that most of the sub- <br />standard housing units have been removed and the city has com- <br />mitted itself strongly to this area both in terms of new parking <br />and relocating the library in the Fischer building we feel it is <br />appropriate to begin moving forward and revitalizing this section of <br />downtown. <br />We are committed to taking the first big private sector step toward <br />the revitalization of downtown Front Street as follows: <br />1. 720 Front Street - upgrade, new facade, new roof, new <br />windows, new mechanlcals. <br />2. 726-736 Front Street - raze existing premises which based <br />on our best advice and analysis, with I believe the city <br />building department and fire departments agreement, are <br />not worth saving. Build new multi -commercial structure <br />with great sensitivity to appropriate design and architec- <br />tural considerations so that the premises facade reflect <br />
