U Cityoy <br />Louisville <br />City Manager's Office <br />• Green Workforce Labor Standards - Denver has standards, encourage other <br />local govts to review. <br />• Building Code and Jurisdictional Support Subgroup <br />o Milestones proposed in the grant application included: <br />• End of 2024 - Workshops have identified priority implementation needs <br />• End of 2025 - Jurisdictions have co -developed a region -wide roadmap towards <br />zero emission buildings; individual jurisdictions have identified their policy <br />priorities through 2030; first two rounds of jurisdiction support funds awarded <br />(continued semi-annually). <br />• End of 2026 - Participating jurisdictions are implementing state low carbon and <br />energy code. <br />• End of 2027 - Communities representing 65% of regional population are <br />implementing zero -emission building policy for new construction. <br />• 2030 Goal - Entire region operates under zero- or near -zero emission building <br />policy for new construction; communities representing 65% of regional <br />population implementing enhanced appliance requirements; communities <br />representing 33% of regional population have advanced energy efficiency <br />requirements for buildings 10,000 to 50,000 sq ft. <br />• 2050 Goal - Nearly 100% of region's buildings are operating at zero emissions. <br />o Grant goals that would achieve the scale of emissions reductions our region needs to <br />see: <br />• New buildings: <br />• Electric preferred code by 2027 and zero emissions by 2030 <br />• Energy Code compliance of 95% by 2030 <br />• Existing buildings: <br />• Share of equipment replacement that is electric - between 65 and 75% <br />by 2030 and 100% by 2040 <br />• Building Performance standards improving an increasing share of <br />buildings from 2028-2045 efforts. <br />Data Emissions and Tracking: <br />• Electric vehicle adoption rate: 9.35% <br />• Community -wide (2023) waste diversion rate: <br />o Single-family residences at 32.964% <br />o commercial at 9.344% <br />o multi -family at 72.670% <br />• 2023 Community -wide electricity use in metric tons of CO2e: 87,381MT CO2e <br />o How does this compare to 2021? 105,890 MT CO2e <br />• Annual reduction: 18,509 MT CO2e <br />• 2023 natural gas use in metric tons of CO2e: 55,780 MT CO2e <br />o How does this compare to 2021? 56,039 MT CO2e <br />5 <br />
