<br />Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />November 15, 2006 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />a. Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 16,2006 <br />b. Pre-tour for commission members is Thursday, November 30th, 5:30 <br />p.m., beginning at the former Cassidy home <br />c. Stuart Pritchard, Pat Seader and Virginia Caranci will volunteer at the <br />Holiday Boutique <br />d. Sally Burlingame is in charge of vendors for the boutique <br />e. Advertising flyers for the tour have been sent out to businesses <br />f. Newspapers are being contacted regarding reporting of the event <br />g. Sally Burlingame will contact The Boulder Daily Camera regarding <br />advertising for the event <br />h. Tickets were distributed to Commission members who may turn in <br />money to Bridget Bacon <br />I. The Yellow Scene, My Hub and the City of Louisville web site will also <br />carry information on the tour <br />E. Membership <br />1. Dan Mellish is following up on Business Sponsorships <br />2. Certificates for Junior Historians to give out to students touring the museum <br />are being printed <br />3. Membership applications will be available on selected homes of the Holiday <br />Home Tour <br /> <br />XI. Chairperson's Report - A date for a long-range planning meeting will be set in <br />January <br /> <br />XII. Old Business <br />A. The commission qualifies for a non-profit postal rate <br />B. The Pioneer Award will be given to Bill and Betty Buffo <br />C. The Senior Interview Project <br />1. Bridget Bacon and Diane Marino met with Claire Floyd <br />2. Claire Floyd will be complete more investigation of the project for a future <br />meeting with Bridget Bacon and Diane Marino <br /> <br />XIII. New Business: None <br /> <br />XIV. Society Business: None <br /> <br />XV. Commission Comments <br />A. The Commission recognized Bridget Bacon for her outstanding work on the <br />Fall issue of The Louisville Historian <br />B. No commission members' terms are up this year <br /> <br />XVI. Discussion Items for Next Meeting: None <br /> <br />XVII. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM <br />
