Approval of Agenda <br />• Unanimously approved <br />4. Approval of Minutes <br />• Michiko spoke about the DEI training and inclusive leadership and suggested the <br />board talk more about inclusive leadership in the future. <br />• Unanimously approved <br />5. 7:05 pm Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda (5 minutes, more time <br />as needed) <br />• No comments <br />6. 7:10 pm Staff Updates (5 Minutes) <br />• Listed in packet <br />• Phase 1 vegetation survey completed in 2024. It's coded by plant species and <br />isn't very useful. More usable report will be available in 2025, possibly in July as <br />part of Phase 2. <br />• Encroachment issue update to City Council: Feedback from open space 2017 <br />campaign has been positive. After a city-wide effort in 2017 Open space now <br />takes these on a case by case basis. Golf course related encroachment issues <br />will be handled on a case -by -case basis. <br />• Susan asked how systematic open space is being with respect to unauthorized <br />plantings on open space, especially plant species that are a fire danger. Ember <br />said rangers are actively patrol all properties for encroachment. If the public <br />notices a concerning area they should email the "rangers" email with pertinent <br />information. <br />• Hecla fencing pricing at approximately $37,000. Andy asks if fencing will encircle <br />the entire property and Ember said no, it's only partial and located of the east <br />side of the lake. <br />• Discussion of e-bikes causing trail damage at Davidson Mesa. Some riders are <br />intentionally making deep ruts. It's a tripping hazard and is costly to monitor and <br />repair. <br />3 <br />
