<br /> City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> April 18, 2006 <br /> Page 15 of 16 <br />Leslie stated the City's IT Staff will perform any service needed on the computers <br />and Shea will provide a warranty. She was confident the IT Staff could make the <br />computers work with the City's network system. <br />Mayor Sisk voiced his concern over purchasing computers from an unknown <br />company. He noted Shea Computers was recently purchased prior to being <br />awarded the bid. He acknowledged background checks had been done on the <br />company and the Finance Director is comfortable with the bid proposal. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Brown moved to award bid for purchase of 44 library <br />computers to Reason Computers, seconded by Council member Sackett. Roll <br />call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 6-1. Mayor Sisk voted no. <br /> LIBRARY UPDATE <br />Deputy City Manager Boyd updated Council on the progress of the new library. <br />She reported a schedule was established at the first meeting for the library <br />commissioning. Approximately 20 contractors and subcontractors met with <br />Architectural Energy Corporation. The finishing work continues inside the library <br />building including; painting, installation of cabinets and millwork. The completion <br />date is scheduled for the early part of June. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />City Attorney Light reported on the following: <br />. A ruling was made by Judge Hale in the Hamon litigation matter. Special <br /> Counsel David Arkel was instructed to make contact with Hamon relative <br /> to a settlement. <br />. The paper work is being finalized in the Sawyer case and will be recorded <br /> next week. <br />. The City has received a request for additional attorney fees in the Open <br /> Records Litigation with Capitol Resources. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Simmons reported on the following: <br />. McCaslin Interchange: The bridge paving and concrete medians will be <br /> installed. There will be night time detours. <br />. RTD has scheduled the RTD Pedestrian Bridge dedication on June 8. <br />. The McCaslin Blvd project balance of $190,000 cost, which will have to be <br /> split between Superior and Louisville. <br />
