<br /> City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> May 16, 2006 <br /> Page 7 of 12 <br />Council member Yarnell voiced her concern over no on-site site management <br />and asked how the units would be monitored. Mr. King stated it would be <br />monitored through the PUD document, the ownership management association, <br />and CTC regulations and covenants. <br />David Freeman, SecureCare Self Storage, Inc. 9226 Teddy Lane, Lone Tree, CO <br />stated the ownership association will be responsible for managing the units. <br />Council member Yarnell asked if there were any provisions for sub-letting the <br />storage condominiums. Mr. King stated they will be governed by the same rules. <br />He noted there are two other storage facilities in the CTC Park. <br />Council member Muckle asked what the longevity for a self-storage project. Mr. <br />Freeman stated self-storage businesses have been in operation for 35 years. <br />Council member Marsella voiced her concern over automotive repair shops <br />locating within the condominiums. Mr. Freeman stated the proposed users would <br />be route drivers, small business owner, and boats and RV's owners. <br />Mayor Sisk voiced his concern over the lack of on-site management at the site <br />and asked if the two other storage condominiums in CTC are on-site managed. <br />Mr. King responded yes, however Mr. Freeman voiced his belief the other <br />storage units in CTC are not on-site managed. <br />Mayor Sisk asked if the project would promote employment. Mr. Freeman stated <br />the project would promote small businesses. <br />Mayor Sisk noted the project does not create jobs or generate sales tax. He <br />asked about the removal of the fence. Mr. Freeman stated the fence would be <br />removed as a condition of approval for police and fire protection access. <br />City Manager Simmons noted the Comprehensive Plan and the Louisville <br />Municipal Code describes the CTC zoning districts are for industry, <br />manufacturing, employment centers, and professional retail centers to support <br />the employment centers. <br />Council member Clabots noted CTC is a covenant-governed environment and <br />he expressed concern with the lack of on-site management of the project. <br />MOTION: Council member Yarnell moved to approve Resolution No. 24, Series <br />2006, seconded by Mayor Sisko Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by <br />a vote of 4-3. No votes: Mayor Pro Tem Brown, Council members Muckle, and <br />Marsella. <br />DILLON ROAD <br />
