All in favor. <br />ORDINANCE NO 1496. SERIES 2006 - AN ORDINANCE VACATING A <br />40' JOINT ACCESS EASEMENT LOCATED ON LOTS 4 AND 5, AL VENUS <br />PARK SUBDIVISION - 1st reading - set public hearing 7/5/06 <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1496, Series 2006. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Ordinance No 1496, Series 2006 be sent out <br />for publication and a public hearing be set for July 5, 2006, seconded by Council <br />member Clabots. All in favor. <br />LIBRARY UPDATE <br />Deputy City Manager Boyd reported the library was scheduled to receive its <br />Temporary Certificate of Occupancy on Friday, June 16, however this has been <br />delayed one week. Furniture will be delivered the week of June 19. The walk- <br />through for punch list items is scheduled for June 21. The building architect, <br />project manager and staff will participate in the process. The site work on the <br />exterior of the building will be completed by the end of June. The alley storm <br />drain will be installed the week of June 19. From June 26 - July 7 the alley next <br />to the existing library building will be opened and a vault installed to <br />accommodate the change of the fiber optic line from the existing building to the <br />new one. The library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30 and the computer <br />and telephone switch-over will begin at that time. The library will re-open by the <br />end of July, and the dedication is scheduled for Saturday, August 19. The <br />project's financial report reveals although the budgets for design/consulting and <br />construction are nearly maxed, the City has not received bills for signs, furniture <br />and shelving. It is anticipated approximately $70,000 from the project <br />contingency will be returned to the budget. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />City Attorney Light reported on the Mayhoffer Quiet Title action. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Simmons reported on the June 15, 2006 Downtown Parking <br />Workshop, where the downtown parking issues were discussed. A second <br />workshop is scheduled for June 29, 2006. He also reported the City shall receive <br />
