He addressed the fears expressed <br />that Louisville not become anywhere USA and stated it was important for the City <br />to go forward with the best plan. <br />Council member Yarnell stated she is not opposed to the recommendations of <br />the urban renewal plan. She voiced her support of the goals, and embraced the <br />revitalization of the Highway 42 area. Her concern centered on the citizens <br />expressed concerns with the overall plan. <br />RESOLUTION No. 36, SERIES 2006 - A RESOLUTION MAKING <br />LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS DETERMING AN AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE TO BE A BLIGHTED AREA AND APPRORIA TE FOR <br /> INCLUSION IN AN URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Brown moved to approve Resolution No. 36, Series <br />2006, seconded by Council member Marsella. <br />City Attorney Light requested an amendment to the motion to include a revision <br />to the Resolution on the 5th recital that the word "commencing" August 15, be <br />added. He noted the initial vote on the resolution on November 8 was to approve <br />Resolution No. 36 with a vote of 3-4" Council reserved its option to consider the <br />resolution, and on November 21, passed a motion to reconsider the resolution on <br />Oecember 5. Mayor Pro Tem Brown and Council member Marsella accepted <br />the amendment. <br />Council member Muckle voiced his desire to have the vote on the resolutions in a <br />different order. He also addressed a citizen's request for voter approval of the <br />designation of blight. <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. Th~~ motion carried by a vote of 5-2. Council <br />members Yarnell and Muckle voted no. <br />RESOLUTION No. 37, SERIES 2006 - A RESOLUTION MAKING <br />LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND APPROVING THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN <br /> FOR THE HIGHWAY 42 REVITALIZATION AREA <br />City Attorney Light reviewed the revisions to Resolution No. 37 regarding <br />development standards, additional languages new locations assistance; and <br />requirement for redevelopment agreements to be submitted for Council review. <br />Council member Muckle reiterated his desire to have the vote on the resolutions <br />
