2022 Park Shelter Rentals <br />Reservations are now available, and park shelters can <br />be reserved from May 1, 2022, through September 30, <br />2022. For a complete list of parks with shelters or in- <br />formation on how to reserve a park shelter online, visit <br />LouisvilleCO.gov/park-shelter-rentals or email Sharon <br />at SSchramm@louisvilleco.gov. For groups larger than <br />250 people, please contact Genny at gkline@louisvil- <br />leco.gov. <br />Harper Lake Boat Permits <br />For the most current 2022 Harper Lake boat permit <br />and boating season information, please visit the web - <br />site LouisvilleCO.gov/boatpermit or email Sharon at <br />SSchramm@louisvilleco.gov . <br />New Cottonwood Park Playground Coming <br />this Spring! <br />In 2017, the City of Louisville began renovating <br />playgrounds to bring equipment up to date and meet <br />current ADA standards. Cottonwood Park is the fourth <br />play structure to be replaced. In the fall of 2021, City <br />staff conducted public outreach and an online <br />survey to gather input on the theme and equipment <br />at Cottonwood Park. The theme chosen was traditional <br />nature play. The playground will have two separate <br />areas, one for kids 5-12 and the other for kids 2-5. New <br />equipment includes three tall slides, six swings <br />(including an ADA swing and two tot swings), a zip <br />line, a bear on a log, a mermaid water table, a spin cup, <br />and more. Demolition is scheduled to begin in early <br />March, with a completion date of late spring 2022. <br />OPEN SPACE EVENTS <br />Lake Park en Plein Air <br />Sunday, March 20, 4 PM-6 PM at Lake Park <br />Put paint to canvas with fellow outdoor art enthusiasts <br />at this casual get-together. Bring your brushes, <br />canvases, and painting equipment to capture the <br />tranquil beauty of this spot! Parking is available at <br />Cottonwood Park. Please note: we are not providing <br />any formal instruction, but this is a great way to meet <br />other painters and share tips! <br />Earth Day Volunteer Day (Volunteer event.
