Parks can extend playground replacement by only replacing specific <br />playground features at one time. <br />• Irrigation — replacing irrigation controls, back flow cages, pumps. <br />• Median Renovations — this will be coming back to PPLAB 2026. <br />• Park Furnishing replacements. <br />• Court resurfacing — in budget for 2026. <br />• Centennial Tennis court project — money to add a court in 2026. <br />• Drainage and in field replacements (Garfield and Griffith) — occasionally field <br />is flooded and un-usable. <br />• Miners field — backstop extension, in conjunction with Highway 42 work. <br />• Replacement for fleet vehicles. <br />• Line item for new equipment. <br />• Renovations of Arboretum - $50,000 in 2026. First there will be talks 'at <br />leadership' and then ask PPLAB for feedback. <br />• Landscaping improvements — areas with deferred maintanence (i.e. Juniper <br />removals along Hoover). <br />• Surfacing material — in capital (no line item), crusher fine trails, playground <br />safety surfaces. <br />• Feasibility study to potentially redesign ball fields at Cleo Mudrock. <br />9. Board Report <br />• Gene and Julian attend a sub -committee meeting between PPLAB and <br />Recreation. The subcommittee is interested in how to get Lafayette to fulfil the <br />tri-part agreement (Intergovernmental Agreement). <br />• Bee City helped write a proposal for a pollinator garden at Louisville Elementary <br />but was not funded. Josh Cooperman will work with PTO and staff at LES. Plants <br />will be focus on pollinators. The pollinator art contest will start in May; entries will <br />be displayed at the library. Promotion is underway via school and city channels. <br />City will provide Sweet Cow gift cards to all entries. Aiming for a booth at <br />Superior `Earth Day' celebration. Organizing a `Garden Tour' June 29 Louisville; <br />wildflower walk at Davidson Mesa on Sunday, June 29. <br />A note that on April 19 there is a tree planting event at the Louisville Arboretum. <br />10.
