1 u Cityof <br />Om Louisville <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Memorandum <br />To: Recreation Advisory Board (RAB) <br />From: Abby McNeal, CSFM, CPRP <br />Date: 06/23/2025 <br />Re: Parks Division Report <br />Streetscapes/ Horticulture: <br />Staff planted and installed patio hanging baskets and corner pots <br />Completed the Transformative Landscape Change Challenge at the arboretum <br />installing 270 plants provided by Resource Central and the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board: Sunlit Fiesta (Sunlit Fiesta) and Color Pop (Color Pop ) <br />Parks, Athletic Fields, Cemetery: <br />Supporting general parks maintenance: shelter permits and special events — Taste of <br />Louisville, July 4, Street Faire, Concerts in the Parks <br />Mowing and trimming weekly. <br />Athletic Fields work on preparing infields for tournaments and permitted play <br />Forestry: <br />Planted 25 trees in collaboration with Tree Foundation, PLAY Boulder, and Boulder <br />Youth Corp tree planting 3 locations: Washington Ave, S Boulder Road, Cleo <br />Mudrock detention area <br />Projects: <br />Playgrounds/ Park Renovations (Sunflower/Enclave) —"opening celebration" July 10 <br />Bocce Ball Courts- surface and board renovations completed at Community and <br />Memory Square parks, General maintenance (monthly or as needed) at remaining <br />courts <br />South Street underpass/ Highway 42 project at Miners Field- continuing to work with <br />Planning and design team to achieve the project goals while preserving Miners Field. <br />
