Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />April 28, 2025 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Mowing has started for all park and public space facilities using a new contractor. <br />Will reintroduce goats and cows in certain open spaces to keep invasive species <br />in check, for fire mitigation, etc. <br />Our new City manager, Diana Langley, has started as my new boss. Will <br />introduce herself at a future Board meeting. <br />May 27th is when we start discussions on our new workplan. This will dictate what <br />the RAB will focus on. It's been unusual for City Council to adopt past RAB high <br />priority projects. <br />Board Updates <br />Outdoor Rec Amenities Update <br />We met last month and will not meet until June when we have more direction for <br />Parks and RAB needs. <br />2026 budget requests due to City Council on May 1 <br />Planning to convert the "punch bowl" into a new putting green. It may become a <br />new budget item. Lisa: we will add this as a request. <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />Update on pickleball conversion sound mitigation study <br />Parks and Maintenance Update <br />Brainstorm on better ways to engage City Council <br />2026 Workplan annual meetings with the RAB <br />Adjourn — The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm.
