Open Space Advisory Board Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 6:45 pm <br />Library 15t Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce St. <br />1. 6:45 pm Call to Order <br />2. Roll Call <br />• Present: Michiko Christiansen, Andy Dorsey, Susan McEachern, Graeme Patterson, <br />Mark Poletti, Brad Pugh, Daniel Rupp <br />• Absent: none <br />• City Staff Present: Ember Brignull <br />3. Approval of Agenda <br />• The Quasi-judicial Pine Street review will not be on the agenda due to last minute <br />withdrawal of the application. <br />• Motion to approve: Brad (motion), Graeme (second). Unanimously approved. <br />4. Approval of Minutes <br />• Move to approve: Andy (motion), Susan (second). Unanimously approved <br />5. 6:50 pm Staff Updates (5 Minutes) <br />• Fire mitigation efforts related to Open Space mowing and grazing have been fully funded <br />by a Grant Fund from 2023 — 2027. <br />• Information requested by board members regarding how to respond to citizens: Board <br />members can respond to citizen requests for input. If a Board member can't answer a <br />question, remind the citizen that Board members are volunteers and to refer them to <br />Council or staff members. <br />• Interpretive sign review and approval will be done by email in mid -October <br />• Goat grazing will be at North Open Space on east side. <br />• Speed limit signs for e-bikes on trails seem to be effective so far and serving their <br />purpose. <br />• The application for Louisville to become a Bird City will come to City Council in <br />November for discussion and approval. Ember will share the draft with OSAB for review <br />before it goes into the Council packet <br />6. 6:55 pm Board Updates (5 Minutes) <br />- Andy asked when consultants will be able to come to OSAB to provide an update on the <br />City of Louisville Comprehensive and PROST Long Range Plans. No schedule has been <br />planned, and Ember will look into a response. It should be noted that postcards were <br />mailed to a subset of citizens to take a PROST survey, however, it is understood that <br />3 <br />
