using a subset of citizens will be difficult to get a statistically valid response for the
survey.
- Graeme provided an update that there has been no response from Lafayette Open
Space tiger team to have a joint Louisville/Lafayette discussion on common Open Space
topics.
7. 7:00 pm Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda (5 minutes, more time
as needed)
- A member of the public (Cathern Smith) provided comments on a City of Louisville Trails
and Trail Placement Focus Group that she participated in that discussed Open Space
management for the PROST plan. She felt there was insufficient discussion on the
management of open space, specifically regarding trail setbacks from riparian areas
In her view, the Focus Group consultant said no guidelines would be included for
setbacks. Her recommendation is to require a 120-foot setback from riparian and
wetland parcels, since it will reduce impact on wildlife and plant life. She wants to bring
awareness to OSAB for future consideration.
8. 7:05 pm Public Hearing:1155 Pine Street, Preliminary and Platt- Public Land
Dedication.
