City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />April 12, 2011 <br />Page 6of 6 <br />st <br />improvements along Hwy 36 are only 1phase improvements and will be <br />constructed largely within the CDOT right-of-way). <br />Wants to see money put back into the course, but money does need to be <br />put into the clubhouse to make it more competitive. <br />A non-golfer spoke that the golf course along Hwy 36 is a window to the <br />City of Louisville. <br />Lack of drinking water along the course is a problem (Michael Menaker <br />suggested contracting with Eldorado Springs to provide bottlesof waterto <br />players, however, Bobby Heath, President of WGP, said this plan would <br />not be cost-effective and there is no room to store that much water). <br />The Mayor said he hoped the auction of the equipment would be successful, and <br />looks to staff to come forward to inform Council as to what should be done. The <br />Mayor recognizes the Coal Creek Golf Course is a “gem” that we need to <br />maintain, but must bebalancedwith other budgetary issues. <br />City Manager’s Report <br />The City Manager reviewed the advanced agendaand mentioned that hewill be <br />th <br />presenting an update of his2011 Goals at the April 26Regular Council Meeting. <br />Meeting adjourned at10:15p.m. –Next Study Session will be held on May 10, <br />2011. <br />
