If weeds exist on any property to heights greater than permitted by this chapter, the director, no less than ten days after notice by mail to the last known address of the owner, agent, or occupant of the property, may order the cutting and removal of the weeds by the city. The city shall assess the costs therefor, plus an additional amount up to $50.00 -to cover administrative costs, against the lots or tracts of land from which the weeds are removed. The amount of the additional charge to cover administrative costs shall be as established by resolution of the city council. In the event that such owner, agent or occupant cannot be contacted under this section, his address is unknown or a mailed notice is returned undelivered, the director may post such property with a notice giving such property owner, agent or occupant five days to cut the weeds. Section 19. Section 8.12.200 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined): Sec. 8.12.200. Arborist license required. It shall be unlawful for any person or business to perform tree pruning, removal, or repair work for hire within the city without a valid arborist license issued by the city forester. The cost of the license shall be -25.00 as established by resolution of the city council. Each license shall be an annual license which shall expire on the last day of the calendar year in which it was issued. The requirements of this section shall not apply to private landowners performing such work on trees located wholly on their own private property, or to any individual who, during any twelve -month period, performs such work on no more than two trees located wholly on private property. Section 20. Section 8.40.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words to6be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined): Sec. 8.40.050. Owner liable for costs of controlling pests. In the event that an infestation or infection of pests is treated at the direction of the city, the city shall assess the costs and expenses thereof, plus an additional administrative fee in the sum of $50.00 against the lots or tracts of land which were treated. The amount of the administrative fee shall be as established by resolution of the city council. Section 21. Section 8.48.020 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined): Ordinance No. 1594, Series 2011 Page 7 of 15
