<br /> EXHIBIT "B" <br />AN INTERGOVERMENTAL AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND THE LOUISVILLE FIRE PROTECTION <br />DISTRICT TO ESTABLISH A PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR FIRE <br /> PROTECTION SYSTEMS PERMIT AND PLANS REVIEW <br />1.0 PARTIES. The Agreement is made and entered into and between the City <br />of Louisville, a Colorado home rule municipal corporation, 749 Main Street, Louisville, <br />Colorado 80027 (hereinafter referred to as "Louisville") and the Louisville Fire <br />Protection District, 895 W. Via Appia Way, Louisville, Colorado 80027 (hereinafter <br />referred to as the "LFPD"). <br />2.0 RECITALS. <br /> 2.1 Intergovernmental agreements to provide functions or services, <br /> including the sharing of costs of such services or functions by political <br /> subdivisions of the State of Colorado, are specifically authorized by <br /> Section 29-1-203 c.R.S. <br /> 2.2 Louisville IS authorized to lawfully provide, establish, and <br /> maintain building and fire protection systems permit review procedures. <br /> 2.3 The LFPD conducts a fire protection systems review as part of the <br /> building inspection process performed by the City of Louisville Building <br /> Inspection Division as required for certain building permits. <br /> 2.4 It is in the best interest of the Parties for the LFPD to continue to <br /> provide services related to fire protection systems review. <br /> 2.5 The Parties agree to establish and implement a fire protection <br /> systems permit review and plans review fee schedule. <br /> 2.6 Establishment of this Intergovernmental Agreement serves a public <br /> purpose and will promote the safety, security, and general welfare of the <br /> inhabitants of Louisville. <br />3.0 DEFINITIONS. <br /> Fire Protection systems permit means a permit issued by Louisville as part <br /> of its building inspection process for a fire sprinkler system, hood <br /> extinguisher system, or fire alarm system. <br /> Fire protection systems permit fee means an amount charged by the LFPD <br /> for review of and a permit for a fire protection system which is assessed in <1# <br /> accordance with provisions of the Louisville Municipal Code and any <br /> other pertinent regulaltions, as adopted and from time to time amended by <br /> Louisville, but does not include fees assessed for building, plumbing, <br /> mechanical, electrical" elevator, or any other similar permit fees. <br /> 10 <br />
