The applicant has met with three professional painting <br />contractors, all experienced in painting historical homes. <br />Following the meetings the applicant has chosen to go with Precision Painting, a painting <br />contractor located in Northglenn. The applicant believes this contractor will provide the most <br />attention to detail and will provide the best results for the money. <br />Staff has reviewed the attached invoice and believes the $4,100 cost for the proposed <br />is consistent with industry standards. Staff also recommends the approval of <br />20% contingency for "discoveries ". The contingency is only to be used if approved by staff <br />upon inspection of the discovery. A 20% contingency would increase the grant amount by <br />$820. Therefore, staff recommends approval of the $4,920 grant request as presented. <br />16 <br />
