He felt the <br />development could support more than 10,000 SF of retail, but they did not want <br />to inflate the fiscal conditions. <br />Council member Sackett noted the proposed homes are in the vicinity of the <br />railroad tracks and would be impacted by the expansion of the railroad. He <br />asked if any provisions had be!en made for land dedication for railroad expansion <br />and suggested the plan envision the area in 15 years with FasTracks. <br /> <br />Council member Muckle left the meeting at 7:47 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk noted Highway 42 gets increasingly busy and asked what the <br />developer proposes for the interim traffic access solution and how the <br />transportation plan envisioned traffic going into the retail area. He noted such <br />access is very important for the success of those businesses. Mr. Brew stated an <br />IGA is being negotiated with the City of Lafayette to extend Paschal Drive to the <br />west. He noted more definite transportation planning would be done. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked what access is proposed for the 10,000 SF of retail. Mr. Brew <br />stated the retail development would not be built until the larger road scheme is <br />established and a traffic signal installed. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked what types of residences are proposed in this development. <br />Mr. Brew stated they propose single-family homes, small and large, with front <br />driveway access. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk closed the public hearing on Resolution No. 21, Series 2007. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 21, SERIES 2007 - A RESOLUTION CONCERNING A <br />PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, KNOWN AS THE TAKODA ANNEXATION, AND <br />FINDING THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED ELIGIBLE FOR <br />ANNEXATION <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Marsella moved to approve Resolution No. 21, <br />Series 2007, seconded by Mayor Sisko <br /> <br />Council member Sackett voiced his concern with the access to the property. City <br />Attorney Light explained Resolution No. 21, Series 2007 finds the area proposed <br />to be annexed is eligible for annexation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Wood explained if the two ordinances are approved, the <br />enclave properties are annexed to the City and carry a Louisville zoning <br />designation.
