<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 19, 2007 <br />Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br />Mayor Pro T em Brown noted several options have been discussed in the past <br />including speed bumps and additional signage. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk suggested this matter be addressed before the beginning of the <br />school year. <br /> <br />Council member Sackett noted many streets in the City have traffic issues. <br /> <br />Council member Muckle sugglested better speed limit signage. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported on the US 36 Federal funding request. He explained there <br />will be transportation hearing on Monday, June 25 in Washington, D.C. <br />Representatives from CDOT, RTD and Interim City Manager Balser will be <br />present at the hearing to respond to technical questions. Mayor Pro Tem Brown <br />will represent the City at the DRCOG Transportation meeting on June 20. The <br />Lafayette and Boulder Chambers of Commerce will be asked to write letters of <br />support. He was encouraged by the support the project has received. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown congratulated Mayor Sisk on his leadership on the US 36 <br />Corridor project and the City of Louisville. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Land Management Director Robson reported on the following: <br /> <br />. Open Space Advisory Board Resolution urging Council to consider <br />improved pedestrian crossing along McCaslin Boulevard, and additional <br />signage at Davidson Mesa open space and Harper Lake. <br /> <br />. The tree limb drop off center will open until Sunday, June 24. Thereafter, <br />the regular drop off willi be first weekend of each month. <br /> <br />. The June 10 ceremony where the Elks Lodge donated $2,000 to the <br />Community Park for flag poles. <br /> <br />. The Library summer reiading programs began on June 7,534 children, <br />101 adults, and 75 teens have attended thus far. <br /> <br />IREGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - RELAY FOR LIFE <br /> <br />Alex and Susan Szollosi, 326 Spruce Lane, Louisville, CO outlined the events <br />planned for the upcoming Rellay for Life.
