BRaD <br />Meeting Summary <br />November 7, 2011 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Bonnie said there are employees of companies in Louisville that cannot leave their offices. David <br />Sinkey, of Boulder Creek Builders, said there are ways to draw people in to your business. Maybe <br />the DBA distributes a flyer to CTC or other employees in the City promoting a restaurant that can <br />get you in and out quick. <br />UPDATE ON INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN, LOUISVILLE <br />FASTRACKS STATION AREA AND HIGHWAY 42 CORRIDOR: <br />Troy Russ, Planning and Building Safety Director, reported his staff is doing an aggressive public <br />outreach for the Highway 42 project. A Walking Tour/Audit Kick-off is scheduled with the City and <br />th <br />their partners for Wednesday, November 9, at 2:00 p.m. and the public is invited. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE – Bonnie Star <br />th <br /> BAP for Rhino Brewing, a brewer and tap room, on the November 15 City Council agenda. <br />This business would be located in the north part of the Book Cellar building. <br /> Hank’s Trains, now called Tim’s Trains – wants assistance with obtaining shelving from Big <br />Lots when they close. <br /> Boulder Insurance – opened in the commercial building at 800 Jefferson St, next to <br />Memory Square Park. <br /> CTC – A potential business incubator was on the agenda for the 10/25 Study Session to <br />possibly be located close to CTC, comprised of high-tech and green energy incubators. Not <br />clear of the City role in this venture, but the idea is intriguing. <br /> Centennial Valley leases being finalized. <br /> Doodlebugs – offering team-building after hours. Retail merchandise too. <br /> Liz Morgan – Realtor for the A&W building – has received some feedback from fast food <br />establishments. Drive throughs are important. <br /> Rite Aid Building – Before and after photos were shared with the client interested in this <br />building, but they having a software issue and won’t be able to get back with a status until <br />after the first of the year. <br /> Business section, “Good News” added to the website. <br /> Reorganization of the State Office of Economic Development – The Blue Print for Colorado <br />was an important factor to convince Arrow Electronics to locate their headquarters in <br />Colorado. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Dana Alford, Centennial Valley Merchants, reported his group is making progress and passed out <br />an update on the group and the issues they are working on. <br />AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2011: <br />ADJOURN: <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:35 a.m. <br />
