Local Licensing Authority <br /> Minutes <br /> April 25, 2011 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> • No objections were entered to the boundaries of the neighborhood being the city limits <br /> of the City of Louisville. Gunning moved the entire application as contained in the <br /> Authority packets be made a part of the record of this hearing. Carlson seconded. All <br /> in favor. <br /> Shannon McLaughlin, 2636 W. 34th Avenue, Denver, CO 80211 and Todd Stevenson, <br /> 3548 Decatur Street, Denver, CO 80211 members of the LLC introduced themselves to <br /> the Authority. The Secretary administered the oath to both applicants. <br /> Mr. Stevenson stated the market has been at 924 Main since November 6. All the food <br /> is organic and traceable and they try to have a close tie with their vendors. They hope <br /> to carry the same concept in the liquor store. They plan on selling 30-40 wines and 25- <br /> 30 craft beers along with spirits limited to Colorado products. <br /> The applicants reached out to their customer base face-to-face and online with a survey <br /> allowing them to support or object to the liquor store. They had 319 persons who <br /> responded with only a few who said they would not sign anything and one or two who <br /> did not drink so had no opinion but none who objected to the store. The surveys were <br /> entered into the record as Exhibit 1. <br /> Authority members thanked the applicant for the survey. <br /> • Mr. Stevenson showed the Authority a large diagram depicting the store and explained <br /> there was a separate entrance available for hours later than the grocery store and <br /> separation from the store by a door or rope. There were questions about the separate <br /> points of sale and Stevenson clarified there were definitely going to be two points of <br /> sale for the grocery store and the liquor store. <br /> Chairperson Gunning asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak in favor of the <br /> application. <br /> Susan Hohnstein, 727 Pine, Scott Urban, 724 Meade St., Sarah Lynch, 541 Adams <br /> Avenue and Deborah Weis, 1017 Front all in Louisville, CO spoke in favor of the store <br /> and the concept. <br /> Chairperson Gunning asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak in opposition to <br /> the application. <br /> Hearing no opposition, Gunning closed the public hearing. <br /> Carlson moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the applicant is <br /> of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be <br /> granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all City <br /> and State law requirements have been met and, based on these findings, the Local <br /> • Licensing Authority approve issuance of a Retail Liquor Store license for In Season, <br /> LLC d/b/a In Season Local Market. Wilson seconded. Roll Call Vote: Lipton — yes, <br /> Wilson — yes, Rommelfanger— yes, Gunning — yes and Carlson — yes. New license <br /> approved. <br />
