Louisville City Council Meeting <br />April 18, 2000 <br />Page 6. <br /> <br />MOTION: Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1335, Series 2000, An <br />Emergency Ordinance Authorizing the Payment of City Moneys for the Acquisition of <br />Vacant Real Estate, Water Rights and a Conservation Easement, for Open Space, <br />Conservation, and Right-of-Way Purposes - Bowes Property, SE Comer Dillon Road & <br />88th Street, as amended, seconded by Keany. Roll call was taken. Motion carried by a <br />vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 27, SERIES 2000 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />PURCHASE CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL VACANT REAL ESTATE AND <br />WATER RIGHTS. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator reviewed the purchase contract for the Esmail <br />property. The Cities of Louisville and Lafayette along with Boulder County intend to <br />jointly purchase approximately 35.68 acres of open space, together with certain water <br />rights. The property is located on the northeast comer of the intersection of Highway 42 <br />and Empire Road adjacent to the Louisville Cemetery. The total purchase price for water <br />rights and property is $450,000 and the City's share is $112,500. The County will pay <br />50% and the Cities of Louisville and Lafayette will each pay 25%. The closing date for <br />the property is scheduled for May 23, 2000. <br /> <br />MOTION: Brown moved that Council approve Resolution No. 27, Series 2000 - A <br />Resolution Approving a Purchase Contract to Buy and Sell Vacant Real Estate and Water <br />Rights, seconded by Sisk. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1336, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br />PAYMENT OF CITY MONEYS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF VACANT REAL <br />ESTATE AND WATER RIGHTS FOR OPEN SPACE PURPOSES - ESMAIL <br />PROPERTY, NORTHEAST CORNER HWY 42 & EMPIRE ROAD - 2ua reading <br />- public hearing (advertised in Daily Camera 04/08/00) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney Introduction. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1336, Series 2000, An Ordinance <br />Authorizing the Payment of City Moneys for the Acquisition of Vacant Real Estate and <br />Water Rights for Open Space Purposes - Esmail Property, Northeast Comer Hwy 42 & <br />Empire Road. <br /> <br /> <br />
