Member Michael <br />Menaker asked if zoning inCTC would allow a business of this kind? <br />Member Alford asked if there are other incubators like this. Jeffrey said that “no, not exactly like <br />this. Some that exist are non-profit, but an incubator at Rutgers University would be similar.” <br />Jeffrey isasking for $20,000 of grant money from the USDA for a feasibility study. Bonnie Star <br />said the City has to apply for the grant, and the grant requirements may require the City to <br />contribute a small amount, maybe $500 -$1000 towards the project. <br />Chair Person Sackett expressed his support for both the business and food incubators. <br />ECONOMICDEVELOPMENTUPDATE – Bonnie Star <br />Distributed BAP Cost/Benefit Anaylsis <br />Tap Room, Rhino Brewing, not yet decided on location – was awarded a BAP <br />Planning is consideringsetting quantity limits for wholesale distribution in the downtown <br />zoning district. <br />Hodge Podge Garage – located in the basement of Marketplace <br />Another Brewing establishment looking at space next to TrekBicycles <br />Closing on City land on Cherry Street <br />GHX adding 100 employees next year <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Member Lathrop asked Director Russ about the length of the Highway 42 corridor project coming <br />from the south. Director Russ said nothing before Lock Street, dramatic at Pine Street and then <br />north of SouthBoulder Road a return to higher speeds. <br />City Manager Fleming mentioned the article on ConocoPhillips.
