Louisville City Council Meeting
May 16, 2000
Page 2.

PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Terry O'Connor, O'Connor Development, 287 Century Circle #101, Louisville, spoke to
the issue of final approval of lots 6 and 10 at CTC development discussed by Council at
the April 4, 2000 meeting. O'Connor stated that, at that meeting, he was accused of
being disingenuous in his presentation. O'Connor stated that he has worked with the
Council for many years, and although he did not agree with the accusation, he would
continue to work with the Council and treat them with respect.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA.

Sisk stated that he had met with the Senior Board relative to charter transportation for
senior programs. Sisk noted that the seniors are in favor of the charter buses, however,
their concern is that a multi-year contract was not considered. Sisk stated that the seniors
are most appreciative of the Council's support of their programs.

Mayer addressed the 2000 Street Reconstruction Project with respect to the work projects
on Spruce Street and Aspen Way. Mayer stated that the City is improving streets in front
of houses that are currently inhabited. Mayer felt that a policy should be instituted where
the City would be reimbursed for public improvements of properties annexed into the
City.

Howard also spoke to the senior citizen transportation issue and stated it was his
understanding that Council could enter into a multi-year contract, if the funding occurred
on a yearly basis. Howard asked City Attorney Light for clarification.

City Attorney Light stated that as long as the contract is subject to annual appropriation
review, Council could enter into a multi-year contract.

PROCLAMATION CENTAURUS DECA CHAPTER Isa` PLACE STATE
LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Davidson read the Proclamation in Recognition of the DECA 1st Place State Leadership
Award. He stated that the Centaurus DECA Chapter received the 1 st Place Chapter of the
Year Award at the Colorado DECA State Leadership Conference. This is only the
second time in twenty years that the DECA Chapter of Brighton High School has lost to
another DECA Chapter.

2
