City Manager Simmons reported on the following: Continued discussions with the contractor about issues with the Skateboard Park; the progress of the City Hall remodel plan and the architect's recommendation the roof and the HV AC system be replaced first; the August 23, 2005 Council Study Session with the Housing Authority, and the recruitment process for a new Land Management Director. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS Council member Brown reported on the success of the Street Faire, and noted the last event was Friday August 12. He reported on a Consortium of Cities meeting where a trail plan was presented, and on the Business Development Proposal. He requested the Business Development proposal be scheduled for a Council study session. He also reported on a comment from a resident that the sidewalk on Main Street is too wide. Council member Keany reported the date of the next Business Retention Meeting will be August 29, 2005. Mayor Sisk thanked Council for their long dedicated work on the Comprehensive Plan. He also thanked the Planning, City Manager and Public Works Staff for their hard work on the Plan. Mayor Sisk stated he would like to discuss the City Hall remodel at the Council level. He proposed Council dedicating an hour of discussion at the next study session or a future study session. Mayor Sisk inquired about the proposed Business Retention Web Site. Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported on the RFP process for a company who would design the Webpage.
