<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 16, 2005 <br />Page 11 of 11 <br /> <br />poles along County Road, and with Qwest moving lines along Roosevelt. The <br />project is scheduled for completion at the end of September. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons reported on the following: Continued discussions with the <br />contractor about issues with the Skateboard Park; the progress of the City Hall <br />remodel plan and the architect's recommendation the roof and the HV AC system <br />be replaced first; the August 23, 2005 Council Study Session with the Housing <br />Authority, and the recruitment process for a new Land Management Director. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council member Brown reported on the success of the Street Faire, and noted <br />the last event was Friday August 12. He reported on a Consortium of Cities <br />meeting where a trail plan was presented, and on the Business Development <br />Proposal. He requested the Business Development proposal be scheduled for a <br />Council study session. He also reported on a comment from a resident that the <br />sidewalk on Main Street is too wide. <br /> <br />Council member Keany reported the date of the next Business Retention Meeting <br />will be August 29, 2005. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk thanked Council for their long dedicated work on the Comprehensive <br />Plan. He also thanked the Planning, City Manager and Public Works Staff for <br />their hard work on the Plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk stated he would like to discuss the City Hall remodel at the Council <br />level. He proposed Council dedicating an hour of discussion at the next study <br />session or a future study session. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk inquired about the proposed Business Retention Web Site.
